Hourglean · early testers
Thanks for trying Hourglean.
You're one of the first people to use it. All I ask is one week of light use and a few honest sentences of feedback. Ten minutes in total.
Three sentences that should just work
“Ran at 6:30 for half an hour, meditated 15 minutes, then had breakfast for 20”→ three records, one after another
“Yesterday I read from 7 to 7:30 pm”→ one record, filed on yesterday
“Start reading” … later … “I'm done”→ a timer, with the duration worked out
Tap Record, say it, check what Hourglean understood, then tap Confirm. If something is wrong, tap Keep Talking and correct it in your own words.
Your 7-day time check
| Day 1 | Log your first thing. Try one of the sentences above. |
| Day 2–3 | Log something you forgot to track — “this morning I…”, “yesterday from … to …”. On day three, review the categories you have recorded. A small sample is not your whole week. |
| Day 4–5 | Aim for three things a day. Not everything — just what mattered. |
| Day 6 | Optional: set one goal by saying it, e.g. “Read 30 minutes a day”. |
| Day 7 | Open Stats › Week. What surprised you? |
Good to know
- It's iPhone-only for now; records stay on that iPhone (no sync yet).
- Understanding a sentence needs an internet connection. No audio is sent to our servers; Apple's speech service may process audio on its servers depending on device and language support. Recognized text and the context needed to interpret it are sent to a third-party AI service.
- Speech recognition follows the languages set on your iPhone (Settings › General › Language & Region).
- Very long or vague sentences (“did some stuff this afternoon”) may need a follow-up. That's useful feedback too.
- Pricing: every feature is free for 7 days from download; after that, Hourglean Pro is needed to add new records. Anything special for testers will be confirmed separately — nothing here changes the App Store terms.
Feedback: five questions
- Last week, when did you want to note down your time but didn't?
- How did you handle that before (if at all)?
- Where did you get stuck the first time you used Hourglean?
- After a few days, did you do anything differently because of what you logged?
- When the 7 days end, would you pay to keep logging? Why, or why not?
