Use this free personal time audit template to record a small sample of your day and review it after three days. It works on paper or in this page. No account, app download, or email address is required.
How to use the worksheet
- Choose one question: for example, which activities filled the evenings you recorded?
- Record the activity, time or duration, and one broad category. Five rows per day are a starting point, not a requirement to capture every activity.
- Mark estimates and the clues you used. If you cannot remember a duration, leave it unknown.
- On day three, check for overlapping entries and total only the time you actually recorded.

Read the result honestly
A few recorded activities cannot establish how you spend a whole week. If learning was 60 minutes out of 120 recorded minutes, it was half of recorded time, not half of your day. Keep unusual days, overlaps, and missing time visible.
What should I write when I forgot the timer?
Start with what you did and a reliable time anchor. Use an estimate only if it is useful to your question and label it as one. Do not fill blank rows with invented exact times. See how to log time after the fact.
