What it does

• Turns spoken or typed activities into proposed time records for you to confirm.
• Supports logging activities after they happened, including the previous day.
• Offers a timer you start, daily/weekly/monthly category summaries, goals, and a calendar.
• Provides English and Simplified Chinese interfaces; recognition availability depends on the language and device.

Pricing and the first seven days

Downloading the app is free. Full feature access lasts seven days from your first download, with no payment required to start. After that, Hourglean Pro is required to add new records. Existing records remain viewable without Pro.

U.S. reference prices are $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Prices in other regions may differ; check the App Store purchase screen. This initial access is not a promise of permanent free logging or an Apple subscription free trial that starts an automatic charge. Subscriptions can be managed in your Apple account settings.

Where do audio, text, and records go?

1. Speech recognition: Apple's speech recognition turns audio into text. No audio is sent to our servers. Depending on device and language support, Apple's service may process audio on its servers.
2. Understanding: when online AI understanding is used, recognized or typed text and the context needed to interpret it are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards them to a third-party AI service. The app explains data use before first use. This step requires a network connection; some actions can be handled locally. See the privacy policy for details. Do not infer that third-party retention or training policies are controlled by the app.
3. Saved time records: stored on your iPhone. The app does not provide cross-device cloud sync in the release described here.

Read the privacy policy. Avoid entering sensitive information you do not need for personal time tracking.

What it does not do

• It does not automatically monitor all your apps or know how you spent unrecorded time.
• It does not provide client invoices, employee monitoring, or team timesheets.
• It is not a Mac or web time-recording client and does not sync your records to those devices.
• It is not fully offline, and AI interpretation can be wrong. Check proposals before saving.

How can I try it?

Start with a three-day personal time check. If you forgot to start a timer, read how to log time afterward. Download when you are ready to begin, so the first seven days are useful.
